Today alpine climbing has become a common term that address different aspects of mountain climbing and can consists of three areas: snow, rock, and ice.  We specialize in customized alpine climbing adventures around the world and can help you create the trip of your dreams.

We offer trips to both non-technical and/or technical peaks that meet both your skill set and your aspirations while keeping safety the paramount goal. This allows you “the climber” to move at your own pace while working towards meeting your personal objectives.

Our low climber to guide ratio insures that safety will remain our primary concern.  The low personal ratio allows for diligent instruction, providing you safety and world-class training while traveling in the mountains.

The summer is often the best time for alpine climbing in the Northern Hemisphere.  We offer trips in both North America and Europe.  There are many prominent peaks in North America to advance and challenge your climbing skills.  Trips range from the highest point on the continent Denali, Alaska, to the most photographed peak in the United States, Mount Shuskan, located in Washington’s North Cascade Range.

The small but complex Wasatch Mountains in Salt Lake City, UT also offer a host of alpine climbing opportunities and are the perfect venue for a quick weekend getaway or to train for the bigger peaks around the globe.  We routinely offer Matterhorn Prep courses in the spring and fall months.  These 3 - 4 day programs are designed to get climbers prepared for climbing in the European Alps.

The European Alps are “the birth place” of climbing, with many classic mountains towering above small picturesque villages.  Mont Blanc, The Matterhorn, and The Eiger are famous peaks with distinctive faces and ridge-lines.  In the French and Swiss Alps, huts are strategically placed in the mountains to help aid in our ascent.  These huts are fully staffed and service is their top priority, including breakfast, dinner and a good cup of coffee anytime of the day.  We are able to customize a trip to Europe that will best meet your climbing needs and fit your schedule.

We also offer ice climbing trips in the winter months in both the Wasatch Mountains in Utah and the Rocky Mountains in Colorado.  If you are interested in advancing your ice climbing skills or checking out a new sport, we can arrange a customized trip for you that could include skill development on shorter one pitch climbs or ascents of multi-pitch climbs on frozen waterfalls.

Whether you have aspirations of climbing the seven summits or learning the fundamentals of glacier travel, we are able to provide a vast array of mountaineering adventures.  Your imagination is endless; let’s build that adventure together.

Jonathon is not the typical, testosterone-driven ‘guide.’ He is a professional, and he takes what he does seriously without taking himself too seriously. He has all of the technical skill you could ask for and yet has amazingly good judgment. I have absolute confidence in his decision making regarding conditions, whether we should be climbing on a given day, route finding, his ability to assess how I am doing. He is a patient teacher and even tempered under pressure. He is also a blast to spend time with even for the long hours sometimes associated with waiting for weather.

He is absolutely fantastic. He is a very knowledgable and skillful mountaineer, as well as a pleasure to be with on the mountain. Jonathon helped lead a group of 6 climbers to the summit......, and got us all back safely and in good spirits. I highly recommend Jonathon as a mountain or guide!
